The Energy Department will present a live webinar entitled "An Overview of the Hydrogen Fueling Infrastructure Research and Station Technology (H2FIRST) Project" on Tuesday, November 18, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The H2FIRST project focuses on technical tasks in support of H2USA to ensure that fuel cell vehicle customers have a positive fueling experience similar to conventional gasoline and diesel stations, as more of these vehicles are introduced to the market and the nation transitions to advanced fueling technology. Led by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories, H2FIRST leverages core capabilities at the national laboratories to address the technology challenges related to hydrogen refueling stations. The webinar will review the objectives, approach, and structure of H2FIRST, as well as provide a progress update on active and proposed technical tasks.

The Technical Assistance Program (TAP) provides state, local, and tribal officials with resources to advance successful, high-impact, and long-lasting clean energy policies, programs, and projects. This TAP webinar will offer information for Energy Department grantees, sub-grantees, and their contractors on complying with Davis-Bacon Act requirements. Eva Auman with the Energy Department's Office of the General Counsel will cover background on the Davis-Bacon Act and discuss implications for grant recipients and sub-grant recipients, including wage determinations, the collection of certified payrolls, and monitoring visits to construction work sites.

Join experts from the Energy Department and U.S. Department of Agriculture to learn about the Rural Utilities Service's new Energy Efficiency and Conservation Loan Program (EECLP). Through the EECLP, the Rural Utilities Service provides direct loans to rural electric cooperatives and other rural electricity providers. The EECLP supports energy efficiency, demand-side management, and renewable energy generation. The first of this six-part webinar series will provide an overview of EECLP. It will also cover the requirements and benefits of the program, and get you started. In addition, experts will discuss steps you can take to evaluate the cost effectiveness of energy program options.

Attendees will leave with a basic understanding of what goes into the EM&V of energy efficiency programs.
